Description
The Enkhuizen 640 is a classically designed transom sloop with the sailing characteristics of a fast tender. Designed for people who love a classic sloop, but who also occasionally want to be able to reach faster speeds in peace and comfort, of course.
The Enkhuizen 640 was designed in-house by Jan-Pieter Vredeveld. The sailing characteristics are comparable to those of the much quicker tenders whilst still being extremely stable and exceptionally easy to maneuver. Due to its sophisticated underwater hull, the Enkhuizen 640 requires relatively little engine power to develop respectable speeds. At high speed, the sloop remains comfortable and stable cruising due to its shallow draft and slender shape. The 640 is a really versatile craft.
Built to exceptionally high-quality level which of course applies to every Enkhuizen sloop, the 640 is a safe and very solidly built boat with a high level of finish. Available with an economical diesel engine, a whisper-quiet electric motor or a combination of both.
