The Enkhuizen 615 is a beautiful, stable, clinker-shaped transom sloop. The spacious seating provides comfortable seating for 6 to 8 people. The shallow draft and modest exterior dimensions make the 615 suitable for various sailing areas.
The 615 is modeled on the fishing boats that provided an income for thousands of families on the English coastline. These kind of spacious stable sloops were used for years to fish the coastal waters even in the North Sea. The 615 have an extremely comfortable interior, finished with teak. The old English engines have made way in the 615 for modern, economical diesels or whisper-quiet electric motors. The beautiful shape and excellent sailing characteristics have remained. The shallow draft in combination with the extremely small turning circle and the modest dimensions make this sloop ideally suited for day trips, the DNA of the fishing sloop has been carefully cherished in the 615.
The high backrest and leg height provide a pleasant cruise, even on longer trips. The Enkhuizen 615 is suitable for both coastal waters and pleasant day trips on the inland waters. The deep seat offers safety for young and old, even when the water gets a bit rough.
The interior is stylishly finished with teak. The heavily insulated engine box has a teak panel with winding frames. Naturally, the 615 can be equipped with countless comfort-enhancing options, such as a toilet, a sundeck or a galley.
The Enkhuizen 615 comes standard with a hydraulic steering position. A tiller steered version is also available on request. With all its qualities, the Enkhuizen 615 guarantees a successful day on the water.
